"What an wonderful experience for the palate!! Every dish was a flavour bomb and it was a true delight to experience what the Nusantara team had put together. We started with complementary appetisers which was a platter of small bites from various regions of Indonesia - absolutely delicious. For our mains we had some small plates - quail and papaya salad, and larger plates - duck, soybean salad, prawn curry and two types of Balinese steamed rice. For dessert we had two traditional Indonesian desserts. Beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nusantara by Locavore Group is easily the best restaurant I have tried this trip — and possibly to date in Bali. The flavours are bold, punchy and deeply rooted in the Indonesian archipelago. Every dish was exciting and memorable, and it truly rejuvenated my appreciation for Indonesian cuisine. The Sambal Gami (squid and clam hot plate) was extraordinary — so good that I ordered two portions. I highly recommend going for the tasting menu to experience a wide range of their signature dishes. An unforgettable culinary journey and a must-visit in Ubud. Service was really attentive and learned and the dining experience was just awesome!"

"This place is a rare find! The service is exceptional, the food is incredible - a journey through the dishes and flavours of Indonesia! I loved it. The food was superb and I had two mocktails that were innovative and delicious, with some adventurous combinations of flavours from Indonesia as well. I really really loved it, and would go back in a heartbeat!"

"Nusantara was the best meal we had in Ubud. I regret not going twice. We had the set menu and my personal favorites were the coconut soup and the vegetables. The drinks were also good. The staff was very kind and when I asked for some hot water because I had a sore throat they gave me something herbal to help."

"Nusantara is our go to Indonesian food fix. This is our 3rd time here and it is still mind blowing. They put together the best set meal of about R650,000 per pax after tax. Super worth every penny. The moringa leaf and coconut soup is always a signature. The rice had kafier lime leaf shreds mixed into it, so fragrant. The grilled chicken was very flavourful. The lamb was so tender and melts in the mouth, it didn’t have the gamy taste, and the sauce was giving richness without the heaviness. The prawns were juicy and fresh with a well balanced sauce. Everything is so meticulously prepared. And the favour mix is on point. The set is just enough and u won’t walk out full. This is more than a highly recommended, it’s a must have."

"We had a dinner reservation yesterday and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who guided us to our table. The service throughout the evening was attentive, friendly, and informative without being overwhelming. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and does a great job of bringing a local Indonesian vibe into the space. I really appreciated the attention to detail, from the music selection to the way they represent different parts of Indonesia through the decor and overall setup. For dinner, we ordered four small dishes and two larger dishes. While waiting, we were served complimentary snacks ,around 12 varieties of Indonesian delicacies which was a nice way to introduce and open up the palate. Everything we tried was well-balanced in flavor, not overly spicy or salty, which made the dishes enjoyable and easy to appreciate. My personal favorites were the grilled chicken and the iga woku, both of which were very satisfying. We were too full to try dessert, but I’m sure it would have been just as good. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with good food, thoughtful presentation, and consistent service. I would consider coming back to try more dishes in the future."

"Beautiful restaurant. Attentive friendly staff. The food was fantastic - a variety of flavours, perfect spice level and interesting ingredients. A great representation of Indonesian cuisine. The drink and cocktail list was equally adventurous. Betel leaf, Salak, Cemcem and Arak - many more to surprise your taste buds. I would say this is a must try when in Ubud."
